  • It's taxing to live in Illinois says a new report by WalletHub who put together a list of "2015's Best States to Be Rich or Poor from a Tax Perspective." Illinois comes in way at the bottom across the board, 49th for low income earners, 50th for middle income earners and 44th for high income earners. The list calculated the share of income that a taxpayer contributes toward sales and excise taxes, property taxes and income taxes. [ABC 7 Chicago]
  • Chicago's Wilson Sporting Goods Co. is stepping up to bat after announcing today they will buy the legendary Louisville Slugger brand for $70 million. The company was previously a family operation for 130 years. [Tribune]
  • Get your Whole Foods fill a whole month early, Edgewater. The latest store in the neighborhood is ahead of schedule and will open April 29 at 6009 N. Broadway.
