  • Cardinal Francis George was readmitted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood on Saturday or hydration and pain management issues according to the archdiocese. The Cardinal has been battling kidney cancer for some time. [Sun-Times]

  • The Thompson Center might be for sale. Governor Rauner’s administration "quietly issued a request for information, or RFI, on March 23" for appraisal of the building that is the Chicago headquarters of the state government. [Sun-Times]

  • Bison will roam again at the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie in a project to restore native grassland; the animals are crucial in prairie ecosystems. By fall, a small herd will likely be introduced at the site 45 miles south of Chicago. [Tribune]

  • John Mathews, a Chicago police officer killed more than 25 years ago in the city's Hegewisch neighborhood, will have an honorary street named after him at 131st and Avenue M. The dedication took place Saturday morning. [ABC 7]

  • The Chicago Ballet Center, which left Logan Square last year for a spot in Six Corners at 4041 N. Milwaukee Avenue, will host a design competition on Sunday for its new studio. Five students from the Harrington College of Design will present their plans for the studio and a panel of experts will pick a winner. [DNAinfo Chicago]
