Today's Weather: Windy City

By Selena Fragassi in News on Mar 29, 2015 3:00PM

Chicago lives up to its "windy city" title today with strong gusts of up to 40 MPH expected. It has prompted the National Weather Service to place the metro area under a wind advisory for the early part of the day as sustained blasts of 20 to 30 MPH will last through mid-afternoon before tapering. It's advised to take extra precaution if you are driving, especially high profile vehicles.

Highs today will reach into the mid 40s with mostly overcast conditions. A period of rain will wash over by afternoon and continue intermittently throughout the evening. It could briefly mix with sleet and snow at the beginning for those north of the city. Take cover today!
