Weekend Playlist: Always Fast, Always Furious

This weekend is one that I, along with many Americans, have been waiting for anxiously. This is the weekend that Furious 7 is finally opening in theaters. As the film release approached, fans of the genre have been popping up all over the internet. Look no further than Vox, where Todd VanDerWorff put together an all-encompassing round up of every film thus far. This primer is perfect for those who haven't seen any of the films and wonder what all the fuss is about, as well as those who just need a reminder.
As an avid fan, I will admit that the first few movies are not the most creative, or even what you might call "good," but once Justin Lin took over the franchise with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift the series has only gotten stronger and more over the top. The latest has upped the ante even further, throwing cars out of airplanes—yep, it happened!
The playlist this week pays tribute to the franchise, with some revved up tracks and some reflective moments (RIP Paul Walker). Turn this up nice and loud in your car, but please, leave the racing to the professionals!
