Ladies of Butchery

Chopping Block - Merchandise Mart (222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, #107)

10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Kari Underly, butcher and author of The Art of Beef Cutting, and Cathy Barrow, author of Mrs. Wheelbarrow's Practical Pantry, will demo the art of pork shoulder butchery and sausage making. Grab a ticket for $40.

Advocates for Urban Agriculture Spring Gathering

Kilbourn Park Fieldhouse (3501 N. Kilbourn Ave.)

12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Enjoy a screening of Tierralismo, a documentary on urban gardening and farming in Cuba, as well as a panel discussion with the filmmakers and local neighborhood-based urban agriculture groups. Bring a dish for a potluck lunch and also enjoy tours of the gardens and greenhouse.
