Enjoy Wine In Film At The Music Box

By Sophie Day in Arts & Entertainment on Apr 15, 2015 3:10PM

A little wine and a movie sounds like a perfect cure for the midweek blues. For the rest of the month of April, the Music Box Theatre (in collaboration with Wine Enthusiast Magazine) are hosting Wine in Film: A Series each Wednesday night. The series will include beloved Hollywood films accompanied with special wine pairings each evening. Below are the films that will be screened each week.

April 15 - You Will Be My Son
April 22 - A Year in Champagne
April 29 - Somm

Each screening starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening and features a private wine tasting event following the film, with sommeliers and experts from various vineyards. The first screening was a great success, with the selected film Sideways and a wine tasting afterwards that featured selected wines from Alta Luna as well as City Winery.

I recommend arriving a bit early to check out The Music Box's new lounge just off the main lobby. Taste one of their signature cocktails or their house wine (the obvious pick given the event) and settle in for a lovely evening.

Wine in Film: A Series will host screenings each Wednesday in April at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online for $18.
