Extra Extra: CPS Suspends Contract That Is Part Of Federal Investigation

- Chicago Public School leaders stated earlier today that they have suspended the $20.5 million contract with SUPES Academy that is part of a federal investigation. The interim CPS CEO, Jesse Ruiz, said the district is suspending the contract "so as not to incur any additional compensable expenses.” [Tribune]
- A plane heading from O’Hare Airport to Hartford, Connecticut had to make an emergency landing earlier today after a passenger lost consciousness. [Sun-Times]
- Four Chicagoland men have been charged with growing pot in a warehouse out in Rockford. The warehouse burned down during a massive fire in January. [Tribune]
