- The billionaire businessman Sam Zell has given $4 million for a new super PAC set up to bolster Gov. Bruce Rauner’s Turnaround Agenda and “oppose those who stand in the way” of it. [Sun-Times]
- It might not be such a joy ride if charges are filed after an employee of a Gurnee car dealership was caught going 96 mph while driving a customer's vehicle that was in for service. The Lake County State's Attorney's office is reviewing dash cam footage from the car. [Tribune]
