  • Participants of the annual Gay Pride Parade better behave this year or it's shipping out of Lakeview in 2016, warned Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) and Ald. James Cappleman (46th). This year's edition on June 28 will have stricter public safety standards, including more enforcement of laws against drinking in public. [Tribune]
  • Starbucks is sure feeling the heat from premium roasters like local brand Intelligensia. The coffee chain's latest move: acquiring some of the world's top-rated beans and selling them for $80/pound or $7.50 for a brewed cup at its new Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room. [Sun-Times]
  • The canine flu rages on. Word out of PAWS Tinley Park facility is that 35 dogs have become infected and the shelter has closed operations to contain the virus. [ABC 7]
