Extra Extra: Emanuel Enlists Ginger Evans As Aviation Commissioner

- The mayor insists Evans was always his first choice for City Aviation Commissioner amidst reports that alleged top pick Vancouver Airport head George Casey cost too much. Evans is formerly of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and brings more than 30 years experience to the role where she will oversee operations at Midway and O'Hare including those jet noise complaints. - Chicago will not be the next Detroit, says a series of financial experts for a new story on CNBC. "Chicago is facing some considerable fiscal pressures, but it does have the tools available to address them," said a Moody's analyst suggesting property tax hikes. [CNBC]
