Avec, Fat Rice Join The Lunch Crowd

You'll soon be able to enjoy two of Chicago's favorite dining spots for lunch. Crain's Chicago Business reports that both Avec and Fat Rice are adding lunch hours.

One Off Hospitality West Loop staple Avec (615 W. Randolph St.) will open for lunch service on May 20 with the
addition of small and large plates with sandwiches, tartines and entree-size salads. The Tribune, who were first to report the news, shared one option that many Avec fans will look forward to on the new lunch menu: a burger that is a take on chef de cuisine Perry Hendrix's signature chorizo-stuffed dates with a chorizo and beef patty with bacon, date mostarda and piquillo pepper aioli. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays.

And in Logan Square, chef Abe Conlon and Adrienne Lo's charming, award-winning Fat Rice (2957 W. Diversey Ave.) will open for lunch and takeout service starting May 13. The menu will include some of Fat Rice's signature Macanese dishes as well as some new dishes served exclusively at lunch. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
