Earlier this month an electrical fire forced The Winchester (1001 N. Winchester Ave.) to close. The popular Ukrainian Village farm to table restaurant doesn't have a reopening date yet, but their friends at innovative bakery Baker Miller (4610 N. Western Ave.) are hosting a dinner tomorrow, May 16, to help them out.

Chef Greg Bastien has planned a four-course spring menu featuring Baker Miller's freshly milled grains:

1st course
Baker Miller rye berry salad
Beets
Asparagus
Sunflower sprouts
Fresh cheese
Rhubarb vinaigrette

2nd course
Seed crusted lake trout
Over wintered sunchoke
Spring onion
Young spinach
Toasted garlic

3rd course
Berkshire pork cheek
Baker Miller rainbow grits
Wild garlic mustards
Biscuit crouton

Dessert
Assorted Baker Miller cookie platter

It's BYOB but some beer donations will be provided by Middle Brow.

Proceeds will go to assist Winchester employees who have been out of work since the restaurant's closure. Grab a ticket for $48. There are seatings at 6 p.m, 6:30 p.m, 7 p.m, 7:30 p.m and 8 p.m.
