Millennium Park gets a bit more millennial with their 2015 Summer Film Series, just announced this weekend. While old-school flicks like “Wizard of Oz” and some Clark Gable-starring sob story have been the MO of the free weekly screening series in the past, this year the City of Chicago is reliving our childhood with us with a rundown of decidedly ‘80s and ‘90s (and even some early ’00) flicks that probably already stock your at-home collection but will be oh-so-spectacular on a big screen underneath the stars. So let’s get to it.

“Back To The Future” opens up the series on June 23, and really what better year than 2015 for this time travel flick starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd?

“The Breakfast Club” closes out the outdoor film fest on September 1. Perhaps there will be a birthday cake with Judd Nelson jumping out of it, too? It is the 30th anniversary of John Hughes’ mega film shot right here in the suburbs of Chicago.

In between those two there’s also…

“Almost Famous” on July 28: The film where we all wanted to be teenage music scribe William Miller and wanted to fall in love with Penny Lane—the storyline gave us hope knowing that it was pretty much writer/director Cameron Crowe’s real-life story.

“Edward Scissorhands” on July 14: Tim Burton’s claim to fame and arguably Johnny Depp’s best film ever, especially considering later flubs by the pair like “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory” which the Summer Film Series skips over in favor of the Gene Wilder original playing on July 21.

“Dirty Dancing” on August 18: You’ll have the time of your life seeing the Jennifer Grey/Patrick Swayze drama, especially if you dance like no one’s watching.

Below is the full schedule. You might want to get your lawn chairs out and call dibs now: park’s gonna be packed.
