Something big is coming to Chicago, and you may not even know it. The Cape Town-based restaurant chain, Nando's Peri-Peri, is opening a franchise location in the Windy City on May 20. Get ready for it!

I ate a lot of Nando's chicken during my semester abroad in Cape Town and I simply cannot express to you how ecstatic I am that this food is going to be available in the same time zone as me, let alone the same city. Nando's is famous not only for their very spicy entrees (vegetarian options are available) but also for their love of all things South African. South African art is displayed at every location, and I wouldn't be surprised if you heard some native music as well inside the restaurant.

In honor of Nando's grand opening, we present you with some choice Kwaito songs. Kwaito is a genre of music that developed in Johannesburg in the 1990s and takes the form of house music with some distinctly African sounds. Unfortunately, the Kwaito selection on SoundCloud is less than ideal, but if you like what you hear, I advise you to go down an Internet blackhole, while eating some chicken of course. You won't be sorry.
