Extra Extra: Local Beehive Thefts Could Be Part Of National Sting

  • It takes a lot of gall (and probably armor) to steal a beehive, but after 32 have gone missing from parks on Chicago's West and South Sides some are wondering if the theft is part of a national trend also rampant in California. It comes at a time that the country faces a shortage in the number of bees and a surge in the price of honey. [Sun-Times]

  • Rahm will have a special guest of honor at his inauguration Monday: Bill Clinton. The former president and Emanuel are said to have "a long history together" that dates back to when Rahm served in the White House cabinet during Clinton's terms. [Tribune]
