The Lake Forest mansion of the late film director and writer John Hughes is back on the market—with a $4.825 million asking price.

The home, at 855 E. Westminster Rd., was last listed at $4.295 million, but has been on and off the market over the past four years in several unsuccessful attempts to sell the property.

The estate boasts 11,000 square feet over two acres of land, with six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, four half-baths, six fireplaces and a pool. It's also close to Lake Michigan.

John Hughes, who passed away in 2009, is said to have used the home as his primary residence, even as he directed or wrote many of most iconic Hollywood films of the '80s and '90s, including Sixteen Candles, National Lampoon's Vacation, Pretty in Pink and of course, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
