Summer is here in Chicago and this means several things. The Hawks are in the Stanley Cup finals again, people will fight about gentrification, a repurposed railroad line will open as a slightly disappointing barely finished public space, and Lollapalooza will announce its official after-parties.

The latter happened earlier this week as Lollapalooza announced the complete lineup of official after-parties happening around the city.

Most of the Lolla after-parties tend to follow a similar theme; take a band with a large following, place them in a deliberately smaller venue and watch most of the tickets sell out almost immediately. Lolla’s after-party series has done rather well for them and has legitimately created some really cool things over the years. A personal favorite was seeing Frank Ocean at the Metro a few years ago right before Channel Orange came out.

This year appears to be more of the same as various headliners and bands near the top of Lollapalooza’s lineup play smaller clubs around town. For example, Hot Chip performs at the Vic along with Hood Internet on July 30. Charli XCX plays at Lincoln Hall on July 31, while TV on the Radio performs at the Vic on August 1. July 31 seems to be the strongest night with shows by Brand New at the House of Blues, Death From Above 1979 at Bottom Lounge and criminally underrated R&B songstress SZA at Reggies. Check out the complete list of after-parties on Do312.

All tickets go sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. Good luck.
