Dave Chappelle Joins Spike Lee On 'Chiraq' Shoot

Dave Chappelle is the latest celebrity to be name-dropped in connection with the controversial Spike Lee movie filming in Chicago.

"The Great David Chapelle Is All Aboard Da CHA-RAQ Peace Train," Spike Lee wrote in a post on Twitter and Instagram Wednesday.

In the photo, the pair appear to be on a set designed to look like a seedy strip club, with a red curtain, pole-dancing pole and neon sign that reads "Love Daddy's Playground." The Chicago Tribune googled that fictional venue name so you don't have to.

Chiraq was reportedly filming at the South Loop nightclub the Shrine on Wednesday, and earlier this week crews were filming at Double Door. The cast also includes Wesley Snipes, John Cusack and Nick Cannon, and D. B. Sweeney is rumored to have been cast as the mayor.
