Show Your Chicago Culinary Pride With This Ampersand Shirt

Us Chicagoans are full of civic pride and not afraid to wear our hearts on our sleeve. You'd be hard-pressed to find a local who doesn't have some sort of apparel or decor showcasing the Chicago flag, one of our numerous sports teams or some of our favorite food and beverage items. Hot Doug's might be gone but we still see their cheeky shirts out and about and in recent years we've seen many a Malört shirt pony up to the bar next to us. Well, Chicago, we've found your newest style statement.

The And Ampersand shirt celebrates one particular food and bar trend that has been beaten into the ground— the ampersand. Girl & Goat, Baker & Nosh, Owen & Engine, Longman & Eagle...and on and on. Hell, our second establishment simply using the word ampersand is about to open (Ampersand Wine Bar, not to be confused with Ampersand, the pop-up kitchen), so clearly we love a trend.

But we're also laid-back Midwesterners, so we can laugh at ourselves a little bit. Yes, the name game is excessive but hey, most of these spots are local favorites so we don't mind reppin and showing a little love. Unfortunately, like a really good pop-up dinner at Ampersand, these shirts are only available for a limited time. Head over to Teespring and grab one before time runs out so you to can show your Chicago & Food & Dining Love.
