Ahead of his performance at Pitchfork Music Fest this weekend, Chance the Rapper (née Chancelor Bennett) popped on to Windy City Live Tuesday morning to talk about his favorite musician—none other than Kanye West—and his collaboration with the Chicago Park District to give local school children surprise field trips with the rapper.
"We have a lot of surprises in store," Chance, a native of the Chatham neighborhood, said of his plans for his headlining performance this Sunday, after gifting the show's host Val Warner with flowers (She's also his #WCW on Instagram today).
Chance's sunny interview and accompanying performances of "Paranoid" from album Acid Rap and "Sunday Candy," with collaborators Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment, are just the thing to get us pumped for the weekend.
