Today's Weather: Partly Stormy

By Rachel Cromidas in News on Jul 17, 2015 1:35PM

The heat of the summer is finally, finally here, but we may have celebrated too soon. The morning is starting off sunny, but "gulf coast-level heat" and humidity are expected to fuel an unpredictable combination of thunderstorms and clear skies later today, as lingering storms from last night are blown away.

Temperatures could climb to the high 80s by noon, and leave a muggy feeling in the air that lasts overnight as a couple showers and one new thunderstorm pass over the city. If you're heading to Pitchfork this afternoon, pack your rain boots. And get used to the humidity, because it's not going away anytime soon.
