Weekend Playlist: One Last Dance
By Sophie Day in Arts & Entertainment on Jul 18, 2015 6:00PM
Our playlist this week is a little different than most. There is not a concrete theme based on a timely news story. Instead, the news is that this weekend playlist will be my last as I get ready for a big move ahead. I started writing for Chicagoist a little over a year ago, and in that time I have had the chance to put together playlists on everything from gun violence to music about cats. It has been a blast putting these together, and I wanted to be sure I left you with one last playlist to jam to this summer!
This week is a mix of songs I'm listening to right now, songs about change and goodbyes and a healthy dose of local and independent musicians who I have not been able to fit into a playlist thus far. If you like the stuff you hear, please be sure to check out the artists, particularly Fairview and Daniel Wade (both local to the Chicago area) as well as Nathan Fox and William West.
Thank you for listening and keep supporting musicians!
