School Bus Plays Hooky, Crashes Into South Side Apartments

An empty school bus crashed into an Englewood apartment building Monday afternoon and was found abandoned by authorities.

No one was injured, police told the Tribune, and the bus is believed to have been stolen, though no one has been charged with the theft. The bus was found near the intersection of 65th and Green streets at about 3:15 p.m., presumably where it was playing hooky from picking up summer school students.
