Woman Killed, 5 Injured After Car Flipped On The Eisenhower This Morning

One woman was killed and five others were injured when a car flipped and landed on its roof on the Eisenhower Expressway early this morning.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. near Laramie Avenue, Illinois State Police told the Chicago Tribune. One woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford. Two men in the crash were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, and three women were transported to Stroger Hospital.
Illinois State Police told CBS Chicago that the car was traveling the wrong direction at the time of the crash.
WGN is reporting that the woman killed was ejected nearly 30 feet from the car.
Traffic was snarled this morning while officials investigated the cause of the crash. Several outbound lanes and the Cicero on-ramp to the outbound 1-290 were closed for a few hours this morning for the investigation.
