Last Tuesday, an Uptown resident stole a suitcase from O'Hare International Airport that contained at least $68,000 worth of wigs intended for cancer patients, according to police.

The man, Noel Fulgencio, removed the bag from a baggage carousel around 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reports. The suitcase was the property of an unidentified woman from Flushing, New York, according to authorities, and among other personal effects, the suitcase held 49 wigs meant for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy treatments.

During the course of the investigation, the police were able to locate the suitcase and recover its contents, according to the Tribune. Fulgencio was charged with one felony count of theft, and at a Cook County Bond Court hearing on Saturday, he was ordered held in lieu of $900,000 bail.
