Free Show At Smart Bar Tonight For Northside 82's First EP

About a month ago, Smart Bar launched a record label called Northside '82. We recently wrote about the new imprint, along with the great work that music director Marea Stamper—who performs as Black Madonna—is doing to increase gender equality in dance music.

At the time we wrote about Northside '82, they were on the verge of putting out their first EP. Ike Release’s Dance Equations came out on vinyl at shops like Gramaphone a few days later to solid reviews, and now the digital release is quickly approaching.

To celebrate, Smart Bar is throwing an album release party tonight with a featured set by Ike Release, as well sets by label co-curator Steve Mizek and artist-in-residence Savile. It’s a free show with no cost at the door to get in. They’ve also released the title track of Dance Equations which you can listen to below.

Ike Release performs with Steve Mizek and Savile tonight, Aug. 6th, at Smart Bar, 3730 N. Clark St., 10 p.m., FREE, 21+
