Is there ever such a thing as too much fried chicken? Even after some pretty bad nights, we'd say the answer is no. Bring on the bird!

Well, if you're a lover of fried chicken and champagne (the brunch of champions) you'll want to check out the Fried Chicken & Champagne Fest at Kendall College this weekend.

Organized by Check, Please host and Kendall College Trust Executive Director Catherine De Orio, the Fest brings together a huge roster of notable restaurants to serve up their takes on fried chicken this Saturday afternoon from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some entrants, such as Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Leghorn and Parson's, are obvious while others, like Slurping Turtle, Yusho and Parachute are more esoteric. The audience can vote for their favorite version bird.

Pops for Champagne has arranged a VIP Champagne Suite, if you're into that sort of thing, but the regular ticket gets you four drinks (two champagne and two other), and that's probably enough to get you through the day. Tickets are $75 (VIP entry into the Champagne Lounge is $150) and all proceeds go to benefit the Kendall College Trust.
