If traveling downtown for an oyster fix was just too difficult, North Siders are in luck: Lettuce Entertain You is opening an oyster bar in Lincoln Park. It's got the most generic and straightforward name ever ("Oyster on Halsted") but with three floors of interesting food and drink, it'll be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

The restaurant is from the same division of LEYE responsible for the venerable (and consistently awesome) Shaw's Crab House:

Shaw's managing partner, Bill Nevruz, told the Trib a few details. The bottom floor will be a cocktail bar called the Low Tide Lounge, the main restaurant will be on the first floor and the top floor is a concept to be announced later.

"We're certainly not shying away from our great heritage at Shaw's, and the oysters and seafood will come from the same farmers and fishermen with whom we have strong relationships," he said. "But (Oyster on Halsted) won't look like Shaw's; it'll be much more casual, quirky, funky and neighborhoody."

The restaurant opens in November in the space on Halsted that housed the short-lived Coppervine.
