Woman Accuses Bulls Star Derrick Rose Of Drugging And Gang Raping Her In Lawsuit

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose is being sued by a woman who says that he and two of his friends drugged her, broke into her apartment and then gang-raped her.

The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, dated Rose from 2011 until the alleged incident in August 2013, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ. The lawsuit says that while the pair were dating, Rose tried to pressure her into variety of sexual acts that she wasn't comfortable with, including engaging in group sex with strangers, but she always refused.

The suit claims that in August 2013, Rose invited her, his friend Ryan Allen and personal manager Randall Hampton to his Beverly Hills home. It was there she says that Rose allegedly slipped a drug into her drink. The woman says that she was able to make it home to her apartment with a friend's help. But later that night she claims Rose, Allen and Hampton broke into her home and raped her while she was incapacitated. She says she remembers being forcibly raped in "flashes."

The plaintiff says she waited two years to file the suit because she was "ashamed and embarrassed" and was afraid of her conservative family finding out.

Rose's attorney Lisa Cohen told TMZ the suit is "outrageous" and "an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete." She says the pair had a "non-exclusive, consensual sexual relationship for over two years."

She adds, "We have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated."

The Chicago Bulls released a statement: "We just learned about this matter and do not know all the facts. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time."
