Chicago-native Hannibal Buress announced that he will be returning home to perform six shows next week—some back to back!—in five different venues.

Tickets sold out this morning within 40 minutes for Buress' show on Sunday at The Hideout at 10 p.m. Yesterday tickets went on sale for a show that he'll be doing earlier that night at 1st Ward at 7 p.m. That one is sold out, too. There's also a show at Emporium Park on Tuesday that is—you guessed it—already sold out.

Don't fret if you missed out on the first two shows: Buress said he'll be performing three more:

Buress has risen to national fame in recent years for his deadpan and cheeky stand-up routines and his TV roles on Broad City and The Eric Andre Show, but the Austin neighborhood native frequently returns to Chicago for unannounced and surprise appearances around town.

With more television and movie roles in the works for Buress this year, this may be one of Chicago's few chances to see him live in an intimate setting before his rising star gets even bigger.

Eds. note: this post has been updated to reflect that Buress will be performing six shows altogether next week, and that tickets sold out for the show at The Hideout that was announced this morning.
