A rent of $1,000 a month is starting to get you less and less in this city, but how much less? Try a 350 square-foot apartment.
Chicagoans may have the chance to try out micro apartment living if LG Construction + Development gets their way, according to Curbed Chicago.

The developer is proposing a 15-story apartment building in a small, quarter-acre lot across from Dearborn Station in Printer's Row. The building will house 90 studio apartments, averaging around 350 square feet, featuring high-end design and finishings. Units will go for around $1,000 a month, according to Curbed.
Micro apartments have become popular with young professionals and empty-nesters in other cities around the country because of their reasonable prices in convenient locations. Another added bonus: no roommate is required. Printer's Row tucked away in the midst of the skyscrapers with close proximity to Loop offices and the South Loop making it an ideal location. It's actually the first new building proposed for Printer's Row in a few years.
The building will also offer 40 furnished extended stay hotel rooms, meeting rooms, an outdoor green roof and work space, according to the proposal.
