Photos: Corgis Enjoy A Super Chill Beach Day On Lake Michigan

Rumors of a Corgi-apocalypse this weekend were greatly exaggerated.

The planners of a Corgi meet-up previously expressed concern when 2,253 people RSVPed to a Corgi meet-up at the Montrose Dog Beach—numbers those high could only mean that Corgi lurkers were planning on invading this mellow beach day. They canceled the event on Facebook, however, the beach day went on this Sunday. There were plenty of legitimate Corgi owners who brought along their stump-legged friends to frolic in the waves of Lake Michigan.

We sent a photog who captured the scene: It looked like an exceedingly pleasant way to pass a Sunday afternoon.
