FRIDAY OCTOBER 9

ROCK CONCERT: We’ve been fans of Bully ever since seeing them at Pitchfork Music Festival this summer. POP CONCERT: She was one of our must-sees at Lollapalooza this summer, and tonight Tove Lo returns to Chicago to play the Vic. The Swede pop singer may be friends with the likes of Katy Perry and Icona Pop, but she’s making a name of her own with songs like “Talking Body” and “Not on Drugs” from her debut album, Queen of the Clouds. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. with opener Erik Hassle. Tickets are $30.

TAILGATE: Lots of neighborhood bars host cookouts for Bears games, but not all of them have Publican Quality Meats at the grill. Bridgeport’s Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar teams up with the butcher shop for a tailgate that includes Beer Brats with pimento cheese and pickled peppers and more. Grill fires up at noon.

MARATHON: Cheer on your friends and all the other brave runners participating in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
