It was around summer last year when Antiques Roadshow came to Chicago to film a few episodes for an upcoming season.
My girlfriend and her mom went to the filming at McCormick Place and had a really solid time. My girlfriend brought a lamp that she thought may be worth something, but turned out to be worth not so much. My girlfriend’s mother was appraised on camera but didn’t make the final cut of the episode. Oh well, so it goes. At least now we can see who did make the cut.
Last night, the first of three Chicago-based episodes of the show was broadcast, with the remaining episodes airing over the next two weeks. On this week's episode, they appraised a signed basketball from the 1984 Bulls, a collection of Playboy memorabilia dating back to the '70s, a ceremonial sword from the Civil War, and a bunch of other interesting things. But, how much were they worth? Check out the videos below to find out.
Appraisal: 1984 Bulls Team-Signed Basketball
Appraisal: 1976 Playboy Bunny Group
Appraisal: Civil War Model 1850 Presentation Sword
