The Whistler Is Becoming A Star Wars Cantina For 'Force Awakens' Release

The good folks at the Whistler are bringing a piece of the Star Wars universe to Chicago just two days ahead of the much-anticipated release of The Force Awakens. For one night only they will be turning the Logan Square bar and performance venue into a cantina straight out of Mos Eisley, the Tatooine pirating city where Luke Skywalker and crew find themselves in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

The Whistler will be getting a makeover to become more like the smokey, divey cantina, and local musicians will perform well-known songs from the original trilogy. They're also overhauling the cocktail menu to be more on-theme, with brightly colored drinks, dry ice and weird garnishes, according to TimeOut. Costumes are encouraged, so head to the Whistler on Dec. 16 for the Star Wars party this galaxy needs.
