Part Of A West Loop Building Collapsed Thursday Afternoon: Fire Department

Part of a West Loop building under construction at 150 N. Riverside collapsed Thursday afternoon, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The Fire Department announced via Twitter around 4:15 p.m. that a 10 foot by 10 foot section of concrete had collapsed on the interior of the building, but no one was injured. All workers at the site were accounted for, according to @CFD Media.

A gleaming office tower has been under construction at the site for over a year now, and is expected to become the tallest building west of the river when it is completed.
