If you're still looking to get a hit of fresh, local food before winter is upon us, you'd better act fast—most of Chicago's farmers markets are closing within the next week.

October 31 is the traditional ending date for many of the city farmers markets, but some end sooner than that. Here's a handy primer (all dates taken from the City of Chicago website):

Markets that end this weekend:

Saturday, October 24
North Center Farmers Market, 4100 N. Lincoln Ave
Printers Row Farmers Market, Polk St. & Dearborn St.

Sunday, October 25
Beverly Farmers Market, 95th St. & Longwood Dr.
Logan Square Farmers Market, 3107 W. Logan Blvd.
IMAN Fresh Beats and Eats Farmers Market, 2744 W. 63rd St.
Pilsen Community Market, 1800 S. Halsted St.
Glenwood Sunday Market, Glenwood & Morse
Wicker Park Farmers Market, 1425 N. Damen Ave.

Here's another batch of markets have their last appearance next week or next weekend:

Tuesday, October 27
Downtown — Federal Plaza Farmers Market, Adams St. & Dearborn Pkwy.
Lincoln Square Farmers Market, 2301 W. Leland Ave.
MCA - Soar Farmers Market, Chicago & Mies van der Roche Way

Wednesday, October 28
Wood Street Farm Stand by Growing Home, 5814 S. Wood St.
Pullman Farmers Market, 111th St. & Cottage Grove Ave.

Thursday, October 29
Hyde Park Farmers Market, 53rd St. & Harper Ct.
Lincoln Square Evening Farmers Market, 2301 W. Leland Ave.
Downtown — Willis Tower Farmers Market, 233 S. Wacker Dr.

Saturday, October 31
Green City Market, 1800 N. Clark St. in Lincoln Park
61st Street Farmers Market, 6100 S. Blackstone Ave.
Division Street Farmers Market, Division St. & Dearborn Pkwy.
Green City Market — Fulton, Fulton St. & Halsted St.
Lincoln Park Farmers Market, Armitage Ave. & Orchard St.

After October 31, you're pretty much out of luck. But keep an eye out for indoor markets throughout November and December. The first indoor Green City Market, for example, is November 7 at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
