Some Blue Line train service has been suspended by the CTA Tuesday morning after a man was struck by a train near the Clark/Lake Station.

The man, in his 40s according to the Sun-Times, is in critical condition and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after being struck by a train at the Loop station around 7:50 a.m. Authorities say it was an attempted suicide.

The Blue Line is currently running between the O'Hare and Damen stations, and from UIC-Halsted to Forest Park stations, and CTA shuttle buses are running to the other 11 Blue Line stations that are out of commission this morning.

Updated 9:20 a.m.: Blue Line train service was restored to and from the Clark/Lake Station shortly after 9 a.m.
