Video: Some Jerk On A Motorized Scooter Slammed Into Woman, Then Left Her Unconscious

A woman was knocked out cold on a South Side sidewalk after a man on a motorbike slammed into her, and recently-released surveillance video shows the man stopping only briefly and then fleeing.
Catalina Gomez, a 24-year-old receptionist, was on her way home when she was struck just outside her job at an auto shop a few weeks ago. The driver of the motorbike paused to check on Gomez, and then he entered the shop. Finding no one, he goes ahead and takes off without so much as calling 9-1-1.
Gomez told ABC she doesn't remember any of it but the experience left her with a concussion, bruises and damaged peripheral vision. Fortunately some mechanics found her, but they didn't realize what happened to her until they saw the footage. Police haven't been much help, she says, but she's hoping someone can ID the man in the video.
Gomez said, "It is sad, how can people be so cold-hearted as to leave somebody lying there. What if my co-workers weren't there? What if no one would have found me?"
