There's A New Instagram Devoted To CTA Fails

If you've spent enough time riding the CTA, it's probably let you down. CTA fails range from poorly timed delays during rush hour to unexplained detours to several buses arriving in a row. For years riders have been venting on Twitter via @CTAFails, and now the man behind CTA Fails, Ryan Smith, has launched a @CTAFail Instagram.

Smith launched account due to popular demand, he told DNAinfo. Even though Smith just launched the account about a week ago, @CTAFail had 608 followers as of late Monday morning.

Despite the complaints, which are usually are more funny than mean-spirited, Smith believes that the CTA is a good transit public system.

"Believe it or not, I actually think the CTA is a pretty solid transit system," he told DNAinfo. "It's fairly reliable and they're successful way more often than they fail."

But there's a universal appeal to crowd-sourced complaints about sketchy CTA service like the following:
