Photos: The Magnificent Mile Lights Fest Delights Crowds

The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival offered a full day's worth of events last Saturday, climaxing with a Tree-Lighting Parade and fireworks display to a crowd of thousands.

While there was no indication of any specific threat against the event, organizers said there would be additional security around the parade.

As you can see from our photos, the evening went off smoothly and delighted the crowd. This year marked the 24th edition of the festival, which was kicked off by its Grand Marshal, Mickey Mouse, with Minnie Mouse by his side.
