Police chased a stolen van with a 2-year-old girl inside from Little Village to Logan Square Sunday night.

The van was successfully recovered and the child was not harmed, but two police officers were slightly injured when they crashed their squad car into another car near the intersection of Logan Boulevard and California Avenue. A person inside the other car also suffered minor injuries, police told the Tribune.

The police chase began around 8:50 p.m. when a man reportedly jumped into a running van on West Cermak Road with a young girl in the back seat and drove off. The chase went on for over six miles before the van was recovered in Logan Square. The girl was taken to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center as a precaution, police told the Tribune.

Several high-profile Chicago police chases have made headlines this year after resulting in crashes and injuries, and in some cases the deaths of unrelated civilians.
