Bears Player Kyle Long Rewards Good Samaritan Who Found Wallet With Tickets

Sometimes a good deed does go rewarded. When Chicago Bears tackle Kyle Long lost his wallet after going out to dinner with his offensive line-mates on Monday night, he was thrilled to find out that his garbage collector found it on his Lake Forest driveway.

He tweeted about the good deed to 165,000+ Twitter followers:

After getting a call that waste management had dropped off the wallet at his house, he went out to find Dan Hughes to thank him for his good deed.

He told reporters: "And I tracked him down. I'm honking at him, and he's like, 'What's this guy honking at me for?'

"Did you drop my wallet off? You're coming to the game this Sunday," Long said.

But a problem arose and a rumor started that Hughes' bosses wouldn't let him accept a gift on the job:

Nothing was going to stop Long from rewarding the good samaritan, he said. He vowed to figure something out to get Hughes into the game and he successfully has.

"I think somebody told me the city is going to put a restraint on the ability for him to get a gift," he told reporters. "Well, we're friends now. I met the guy, so I can give him a ticket or two. Good things happen to good people, and that's a really good guy. Hopefully he continues to be himself."
