UPDATE, 9/22/16: On Reddit Tuesday, Bourdain was again asked about his favorite Chicago restaurants. Guess what? Pretty much the same answer: Girl & the Goat, Avec and Johnny's Beef. At least the man knows what he likes.

During a Balvenie scotch tasting earlier this month, Anthony Bourdain sat down with the Tribune to talk Chicago food, whether he'd ever open a Chicago restaurant, and his favorite spots in our city. The whole (short) video is worth watching (the man is just so charming!) but the most interesting part for us? He reveals the restaurants he likes to eat at in the city.

Paul Kahan fans, be excited: the first restaurant Bourdain calls out is Avec. Then he goes classic with Johnny's Italian Beef, before pouring one out for Hot Doug's and closing with (of course), Girl and the Goat. There's also a shout out for Old Town Ale House.
