A Walking Light Show Celebrates The First Winter On The 606

Chicagoans celebrated the official start of winter on Sunday evening with a festival of lights on the Bloomingdale Trail, also now known as The 606. The People's Promenade Walk lit up the West Side trail with a wintery spirit despite the lack of snow.

The trail's managers have been holding quarterly illumination parties since it opened in June, according to CBS2.

It was a fun affair featuring cyclists dressed as winter sprites, drum circles, bonfires, a performance from Pyrotechniq Fire, storytellers and s'mores:
