Lakeview Is Getting A New, Free Ice Rink Next To Barcocina

Get ready for a free community ice rink, Lakeview residents. The neighborhood's business community has teamed up with Chicago View magazine to build an ice skating rink next to Barcocina at 2901 N. Sheffield Ave., according to Jeff Briggs of the Central Lakeview Merchants Association.
The small rink is expected to open on Monday Jan. 11 and will be open from noon to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday through Friday Feb. 14. It's one benefit of the dropping temperatures we're experiencing.
Lakeview's Urban Rooftops helped build the rink, and sponsors like Be Realty are making the free rink possible, Briggs said.
