After a battle with rooftop owners over Wrigley Field video boards, the Ricketts family now owns the majority of the rooftops around the ballpark. The owners of the Cubs have bought three more of the rooftop venues surrounding their field: the Beyond the Ivy rooftop buildings at 1010 - 1038 W. Waveland Ave. and the Sky Lounge Wrigley Rooftop at 1048 W. Waveland Ave., according to Crain's.

Since January of 2015, they've bought other rooftop properties including 3639 N. Sheffield Ave., 3643-3645 N. Sheffield Ave., 1032-1034 W. Waveland Ave., 3637 N. Sheffield, 3617 N. Sheffield and 3619 N. Sheffield.

All nine of the Ricketts-owned rooftops, plus the Down the Line rooftop at 3621 N. Sheffield (which the family has a financial stake in) will feature the "Wrigley Rooftops" logo and branding umbrella.

If you're already thinking spring in the yucky January weather, the family also launched "Wrigley Rooftops," a new ticket-selling site for the rooftops.
