4 Chicago Animal Shelters You Should Follow On Instagram

A great way to cheer yourself up during this dreary January weather is by following a few of Chicago's animal shelters on Instagram. The sweet pictures might inspire you to adopt an adorable new friend, or at least look into volunteering for a shelter. And since space can be tight for animal shelters in the winter, you might decide there's no time like the present to adopt a furry friend.

PAWS Chicago https://www.instagram.com/pawschicago/

PAWS is one of Chicago's best-known no-kill pet adoption shelters and also runs a spray/neuter clinic. If you have time, browse through their listings of the cats and dogs available for adoption. It is hard to look without wanting to take one home with you! They post pictures of cute animals who've been adopted on their Instagram page:

If you wander through River North frequently, you've probably noticed the Anti-Cruelty's large building on LaSalle Street. They also post adorable cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and rats available for adoption on their Instagram feed:
