The body of a man was discovered in the basement of a house in the Back of the Yards neighborhood after neighbors complained about a strange smell, according to the Tribune.

The body, which did not seem to have signs of trauma, was found in a house in the 4700 block of South Racine Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. Police are investigating the death.

Law enforcement visited the home because neighbors were complaining about a foul odor. Officials have not released the man's identity but a handyman named Mario lived there, according to other building residents.
