The Temperature Could Hit A Balmy 50 Degrees This Weekend

January is coming to an end and Chicago is getting a winter miracle. It may be below freezing on Wednesday, but temperatures are expected to climb close to 50 degrees over the weekend.
Saturday's high is expected to be 45 degrees and Sunday's high is expected to be 46 degrees but temperatures could get even higher, according to NBC5. There's also a pretty good chance of rain on Sunday.
We probably should thank El Nino because it's much higher than the average high for this time of year. The mean temperature for Jan. 27 is 26 degrees.
But don't expect it to last long. Temperatures will crawl back down to the 30s next week.
